Ever wondered what happens under the golden domes of the
gurdwara? We'll show you! Make your way from the gate, through
the langar hall, to the darbaar sahib and al the spaces between, as
you discover a home that welcomes you at any time of any day.
4:00PM TABLE TALK
Hear the incredible stories of those who have come to Australia from lands near and far,
as they share their trials and triumphs. Learn about our current asylum-seeker and
refugee situation, and discover the difference between the two terms. Discuss the issues
at hand with fellow participants, and find out what we can all do to actively be a part of
the solution. The power lies within us, and together, we can make change!
5:30PM MUSICAL PERFORMANCE
Experience live Indian classical music as we conclude discussion for
the evening and unite to look to the future with hope and conviction.
6:00PM LANGAR (FOOD)
Join us in the langar hall for dinner, and experience an institution founded on the
values of equality and selfless service, which has been running for over 500 years,
open to one and all. Langar is an essential part of very gurdwara, and the langar
hall at Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar, India, feeds around 100 000 people daily.
